In the wake of the horrific mass shooting in Denver Colorado during the airing of the Batman: Dark Knight movie, it has now been revealed mass-murder suspect James Holmes had an online dating profile on Adultfriendfinder.com.? The site, an adults-only website targeted towards one night stands and swingers, has reportedly verified the authenticity of the profile according to gossip website, TMZ.com.
Despite limited information provided on the profile, it was the profile headline itself which hinted at James Holmes? tragic plans ? with the caption ?Will you visit me in prison??.
Aside from this profile, an Internet profile on James Holmes has identified he has little to no online presence.? For someone who is dating online and came across his website, a simple Google search would have revealed no adverse information ? certainly nothing which would indicate his true character.? Added to this, with reports he had no criminal history other than a traffic ticket, not even a full background would have revealed anything to suggest an upcoming Date with this individual should have been avoided.
For those who came across his dating site ? what did they think when they read his opening caption?? Surely this alone provided a crucial insight into the mindset of this individual. Would this be enough to turn you off making contact with this individual? Certainly no-one at this stage has come forward to admit meeting him through this profile.
In any case these are tragic circumstances which should remind us that we may never truly know the person we?ve met online.
